Hexa Rays was part of a series of works I created during 2019's Inktober challenge where, instead, I challenged myself to "Rendertober" by creating 31 new 3D concept renders from scratch each day of that October month.
This was two Blender projects testing lighting and depth mapping effects using node programming, combined into one.
The hexagon grid was a simple test a creating an up-lit or back-lit perspective image of these varying sized hexagons.
